Russian visa services in the USA

Russian Tourist Visas

Russian tourist visas are generally used by people who travel to Russia for tourism or leisure allowing for either a single or double visit and may be valid for a maximum period of 30 days.

The tourist visa will be issued for the exact dates you request, or as specified on the invitation if you are providing this yourself.

This is the most cost effective visa for short trips and if you know when and where you will be going otherwise consider a Russian Business visa.

Due to unusually high demand at the Russian consulate all agencies have been put on quotas for visa processing which may affect the processing times quoted. All same day applications must now be booked by phone via our London office for a particular day. To assist us further to manage your applications effectively, for all applications please indicate the latest date that you require you passport and visa(s) returned to you by.

If you are a Canadian national please note that as of 18th June 2008 the Russian consulate will now take a minimum of 15 working days to process any type of visa.

Please take this into consideration when applying for your visa.

What is the processing time?

The processing time is the number of working days that it will take us to obtain your visa once we have received your documents and lodged your application with the Russian consulate. We will lodge your application the next consular working day after we receive it.

The day we receive your visa from the Consulate, we will send it to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery so you will have it the next business day before 1pm or optionally hold it at our office for your collection.

When can I apply for my Russian tourist visa?

Russian Tourist visas can be applied for within 90 days of the entry date requested on the visa. If we receive your application before this date then we will hold it and lodge it to the consulate at the earliest opportunity.

Currently the Russian consulate is accepting tourist visa applications with a requested entry date that is equal to or earlier than: 02 October 2008.

How long can I stay in Russia using my visa?

Generally with a tourist visa you may stay in Russia for a maximum of 30 days during any one visit and only up to the maximum validity period of the visa in any event.

Please note that effective 01.06.07 according to new laws dependent upon your nationality there may be restrictions on how long you can stay in Russia within specific periods. This restriction, if it applies, will be written into the visa.
