Have you considered the benefits of applying for a long term visit visa (12mths, 2yr, 5 yr, 10yr)? Are you aware of our convenient submission without passport service? Please check our website for prices and details.

All will be well. |

| Yeah, absolutely, why write that if it's not. It's the same email as we got when a visitor visa was approved. They just always that chance of an admin error/ Anyway, we should know tomorrow. Passport in transit with dhl. |

| Visa now in hand so both obviously delighted. Thanks to everyone that answered any of my questions over the last few months. Expect a lot more over the next few years!
Application was submitted 8th Feb so turn round times seem to be decent now.
Heads off to ebookers to look for plane tickets......

| So, Iveria's on route now. flew to Moscow this morning and now on plane to England.
She did however get fleeced by the police in Moscow airport. She was stopped on the grounds that's she's from the Caucasus so she must be a terrorist. An excuse to rob her. They took £300 of perfume, all her hair products, a ring, a pair of shoes and a handbag. Fortunately they weren't clued up on fashion and left the 3 louis viuitton handbags! Oh, and they charged her 2000 roubles for the privilege.
I'm tired of stuff like this happening. I could write all day about the crap that's happened to her. I've seen some beautiful sights in Russia and of course have great memories of my trips there, but in all honesty I despise the place.

Very different to your experience, but when Naddy arrived in the UK a few weeks ago, she told me that the border officer told her to visit the medical centre and then come back. I was like "why'd they make you do that, are you okay? blah blah blah". Actually, she just popped in, said hello to the two nice ladies in there. Answered a few very simple questions and then just had a friendly conversation with them, which included them telling her that the husband best be waiting with flowers in hand (I had flowers ). The plane landed at 7:35 in the evening. She was in my arms by 8:05, was so quick!
Good luck for today, bet you can't wait.
Sorry to hear about the stuff which took place in Moscow. |

| It just seems to be expected for us. Wish she'd been flying from rostov now but this worked out less expensive and only a short plane to moscow instead of a 12 hour train to rostov.
yes I can't wait! not long now.Well, presuming she makes the connection. 1hr 10 connection. her plane has landed 16 minutes late. After making some time up in the air. I've done little work today, just sat watching flight times!
Off to buy my flowers shortly! thanks for the well wishes.
