| Hi
Fiance and daugher are in Kazan and were booked to return on 11th but Aeroflot have cancelled flight and offered an alternative on 12th. Problem is daughter is on EU passport with visa that expires on 11th!
Any idea how they will get on trying to travel back on 12th in these circumstances?

Mark It should not be a problem, Aeroflot are responsible, and at the most, you may have to explain to the Immigration as you leave, and may need to go to the FMS office upstairs where you should be given a delayed exit pass, any costs for this should be paid by Aeroflot.... Just contact them (Aeroflot), they will know what to do, you will not be the first person that this has happened to.. Good Luck...

Contact the British embassy in Moscow they can issue a travel document to allow your daughter to leave Russia if the overstay is less than 72 hours. |

Contact the airline anyway, they should be able to keep you right... Good Luck |

Location: South Oxfordshire, UK & St. Petersburg, Russia | This isn't going to help you now but in future I strongly advise that you apply for a visa which has at least one week longer on it than your planned return flight date as this helps add a "buffer" in unforeseen situations such as this one. This is someting I always do myself.
Good luck getting something sorted out. Hopefully it will be a fairly straight forward procedure once you've spoken to the right people. |

Good Luck in getting this sorted out as well but like Gary when I was on Visitor visa(I am currently on a years Business visa) I add a buffer zone of at least 2 days for any unseen circumstances in getting out. |

Location: When at home either Sakhalin Island or Scotland | Good luck in getting it sorted. If it was me I would follow the advice given by Mel. I would also make sure that I kept copies of all the documents that inevitably will be generated just in case there are any issues in the future.
Like Garry and Neil I also allow a buffer zone, my buffer zone is an absolute minimum of 24 hours. The buffer zone also applies to my wife's visas.

You are completely responsible about this. Because you know about this which time expire my visa.
Have you ever been to Russia or do you have any plans to go to Russia or indeed have you ever been in the uk or are you here to promote your company that you work for? |
