Location: Edinburgh/Tula/Bogoroditsk | My name is Neil and I have joined this forum as I have been seeing my Russian lady for around 6 monthes and its getting close to the time where we will be applying for her first visa to the UK so have been looking through the form for advice so thought I would sign up and say hello.
Before I met her I have been to visit Russia twice, Ukraine three times and Belarus twice, I have been around the Western part of Russia by train as well plus visited most of the ex Soviet countries west of Georgia. |

Location: When at home either Sakhalin Island or Scotland | Hello and Welcome to the Fun/Mad house.
Good luck with the forthcoming visa application.
The best advise that you can get is, please don't cut any corners, the first visa is the hardest and most difficult to get so make sure that you cross all the "T"s and dot all the "I"s
Last but not least use the RR Moscow office for your application, they will make sure that your application is complete.

Location: Redcar | did I tell you Mel.. that when Tanya arrived at Heathrow, she was pulled into some grubby little room by a female member of the UKBA staff, the room was called "Health Control" and accused of being pregnant! she replied "do I look pregnant?".. she's a skinny size 8 and then they telephoned me outside to check my postcode... what a strange lot!!! anyway's all well and we're snuggling in soon for Turkey curry and later we may pull some crackers..... |

I can only reiterate what has been said here already and that is to make use of the RR Moscow office and the wonderful Natalia. She will help you every step of the way and make sure that you have everything you need. Of course, there is still no guarantee as you will have gathered from other posts, not least the saga of my own girlfriend's first visa application I suspect. I wish you every success. |

Indeed, I should be seeing Natalia on Thursday morning hopefully for a quick chat about the proposed application, Dave M I have read about your own experience with your own GF's application, anyway tomorrow is time to print off 6 monthes worth of wageslips and bank statements to support the appplication. |

I will second the "GOOD LUCK" from Mel. IT might help also if you can get a letter from your employer confirming your employment, any way if you are meeting Natalia then I am sure that she will set you right.

Location: Edinburgh/Tula/Bogoroditsk | And an update that the visa application was successful after hours of finding photographs, payslips, bank statements, evidence of past visits to Russia, emails from me and my mum plus a translation from the Bogoroditsk website. Plus to Natalia at Real Russia in Moscow for having to suffer my questions for the last 3 months. |
